About

Access Books provides quality, high-interest books to school, classroom and community libraries in the greater Southern California area. We provide books to inner-city schools where at least 90 percent of students live at or below the poverty line. Since 1999, Access Books has donated more than a million books in Southern California!
We know readers share books. Many kids your age do not have good books in their homes or school libraries. We help you share your great books and your love of reading. You get to see exactly where your books go and the chance to make a school library warm and welcoming!

Educational Activities

Create the Change® partners with nonprofit organizations that we believe offer age-appropriate service opportunities for youth and families. All of our partners sign a collaboration agreement promising to provide age-appropriate activities in a safe environment.

Create the Change® does not run, host, or facilitate the service opportunities seen here, nor are we responsible in any way for the management (financial or otherwise) of the organizations we feature.

Always be sure to do your own research on the nonprofit organization and service opportunities available to make sure it's a good fit for you before getting started. You may find the organization's contact information on their profiles.
