About

Meals on Wheels of West Los Angeles, is a non-profit, volunteer community service program that provides nutritious meals to homebound individuals living on the west side of Los Angeles. All funding for this program comes from the community and from those participants who can afford to pay. We do not receive any government funding, and are not restricted to serving only elderly homebound individuals.

Instant gratification is our reward when the door opens. If these meals were not delivered, our clients would not be able to live at home. They cannot manage to shop, prepare food and clean up for themselves. Our clients are charged $7.00 a day for the two meals. This fee only partially covers our costs, however, no one is turned away because of lack of ability to pay.

Service Opportunities

We need your help to deliver meals. Monday through Friday, our volunteers deliver a hot midday meal and a cold supper to elderly and disabled individuals.

Educational Activities

Create the Change® partners with nonprofit organizations that we believe offer age-appropriate service opportunities for youth and families. All of our partners sign a collaboration agreement promising to provide age-appropriate activities in a safe environment.

Create the Change® does not run, host, or facilitate the service opportunities seen here, nor are we responsible in any way for the management (financial or otherwise) of the organizations we feature.

Always be sure to do your own research on the nonprofit organization and service opportunities available to make sure it's a good fit for you before getting started. You may find the organization's contact information on their profiles.
