Yameeliz Fret serves as the Director of Community Engagement at Create the Change. Yameeliz has worked within the education system providing professional development and resources to advance the health, safety, and well-being of marginalized youth and communities. She is passionate about community organizing and youth development, and believes that Create the Change serves as a powerful opportunity to connect youth, families, communities, and organizations to the services and resources they need to succeed, as well as cultivate the next generation of empathy-driven, civic-minded leaders. Yameeliz earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Inequality and Social Justice from the University of South Florida. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree from the University of Florida in Public Interest Communication with a Graduate Certificate in Audience Analytics.
